Tariffs, trade and Huawei have been dominating the news coverage as the relationship between Washington, D.C., and Beijing appears to be deteriorating. We went beyond the headlines to talk to people with ties to both the U.S. and China. The stories in this team effort include Chinese students in the U.S. who face suspicion in both countries, as well as a Maryland lawmaker who left Shanghai in 1989.
